Coffee Casa, Parklands

When I saw pictures of Coffee Casa a while back I knew it was a restaurant I wanted to try. The ambience is such a selling point from the pictures alone. We decided to give it a shot on Valentine’s Day and see if Instagram matches reality.

About Coffee Casa

A home away from home. We do everything with love and focus on making you feel good! Come and enjoy our great food, milkshakes, perfectly brewed coffees & more. Source

Location

The restaurant is located in Parklands, specifically Third Parklands Avenue on Mezzanine floor on Doctor’s Park. The closest landmark is Aga Khan Hospital. An Uber to the location is about 150 to 200 bob from town. I recommend this to avoid spending time walking looking for the place if you’re not familiar with Parklands.

Ambiance

What drew me to this spot is the amazing décor. The pictures honestly don’t do the spot justice you need to see it for yourself. I definitely give them a 9/10.

Valentine’s Menu

For the holiday they had a Casa Love Deal for the weekend that involved two Aphrodisiac burgers. The fun part was the burger came with two parties you could either have two beef/chicken patties or mix it up. For drinks they had two virgin strawberry mojito at 2500/= non=alcoholic options and an extra 500 bob for alcoholic cocktails meaning you spent either 2,500 to 3,000 bob.

One thing I may not have liked as much is the cocktail sauce in the burgers. It has an interesting sweet taste which was a bit unfamiliar but enjoyable if you like a mash up of sweet and savory. If you’re like me, you could request not to have this.

By now the offer is over but the prices for the food generally fall within this same price range. This is a great place to start for a budget for a full meal. Also note they have offers on breakfast and burgers every now and then. Check out their Instagram page to be updated.

What else to expect?

Well from the restaurant name it’s pretty well know for the coffee. We inquired on this and found out they make their own caramel! Can you believe that! They also don’t use chocolate powder but real chocolate bars in their coffee. This brings their coffee cost up to Ksh 500 for a cup. Coffee lovers this is definitely a spot you can try for some great coffee.

Contact information, service and working hours

The spot is open for dine in. It has adhered to Covid-19 social distancing protocols. More to it we did not need to make a reservation but called in to make sure. Despite it being Valentine’s Day it wasn’t overly packed which was really amazing for us. It gives you room to enjoy the experience. Operation hours 8.00a.m – 9.30p.m call the restaurant on 0725 110110 the response rate was very pleasing.

Service

Finally, the service was great, the waiters and waitresses are very engaging and keep checking up on you throughout your time there. The washrooms could be better but generally the experience was an 8/10.
